According to The Mirror, Moussa Sissoko’s contract at Tottenham Hotspur is worth a staggering £5m-a-year – meaning he earns around £95,000-a-week at White Hart Lane.
Sissoko, 27, was arguably the main talking point of deadline day as he had two Premier League clubs vying for his signature in the final hours of the summer transfer window.

As reported by Sky Sports, Everton made a move to land Sissoko and actually agreed a deal with Newcastle United to sign him, only to then find that they couldn’t contact the midfielder to seal the transfer.
Whilst Everton attempted to contact Sissoko, Spurs swooped in and agreed the same £30m transfer with Newcastle, securing his signature on a five-year deal as they gazumped Everton in the dying embers of deadline day.

The move has stunned many; Sissoko struggled in large patches of last season as Newcastle suffered relegation to the Championship, with fans blasting his almost invisible performances on a number of occasions.
However, the former Toulouse man did show his quality for France at the European Championships, starring for Didier Deschamps side as the finished as runners-up – and his displays appear to have landed him a stunning contract at White Hart Lane.

The Mirror report that Sissoko has been handed a deal worth £5m-a-year with Tottenham, meaning he instantly becomes one of their highest earners on around £95,000-a-week if true.
The fee combined with the wages suggest a huge amount of belief in Sissoko, who will be hoping to finally turn in consistent performances under his new manager Pochettino – who managed to get the best out of another powerful yet often inconsistent midfielder in Mousa Dembele.
