A report in the Sunday Post has suggested that Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans would be keen to make the move to Ibrox if Rangers offered him the chance this summer.

The Sunday Post reports that Dorrans was a Gers fan as a boy, and having been earmarked as a potential target for the Scottish Premiership side this summer, he would be open to the idea of helping Pedro Caixinha’s side try and start cutting the gap to Celtic at the top of the table.

The 30-year-old’s desire to rejoin will not be the only factor however, as The Sunday Post adds that he is under contract at Carrow Road until 2019.

But, the report also suggests that Rangers are not worried about putting a deal together with the Canaries overseeing a mass clear-out of their squad recently.

With Dorrans continuing to impress this season, he may be the ideal addition to Caixinha’s squad as they approach what will surely be a crucial summer for the Light Blues.

If Rangers do not get their recruitment right once again, Celtic may be able to extend the gap further and leave the Gers with even more work to do.

But Dorrans’ presence in the side would undoubtedly provide a boost to their chances of putting up a much better fight next term. He has scored six times in 22 Championship games this term, despite being predominantly deployed in a holding midfield role.

And with Rangers arguably crying out for a midfielder who can sit just in front of the back four, providing them with additional support while also offering a threat going forward, a move for the Scotland international would be a great deal, especially if Norwich are willing to listen to offers.
