Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge reportedly wants huge wages to consider a move to West Ham.
According to The Telegraph, Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge would demand a wage increase to complete any move to Premier League rivals West Ham United.
Sturridge, 27, may have been a key player under Brendan Rodgers during Liverpool’s push for the Premier League title in 2014, but the last few years have been difficult for the striker.

Injuries limited him to just 26 appearances in the last two Premier League seasons, whilst this term, he’s started just four Premier League games under Jurgen Klopp as Roberto Firmino has cemented himself as the club’s leading striker.
Sturridge has though scored four goals in two Europa League games, and bagged the opener for England in their 3-0 win over Scotland on Friday, showing what Sturridge can do when given the chance.

To play first-team football, Sturridge may have to leave Anfield, and The Mirror reported earlier this week that Stoke City and West Ham United are both keen to rescue Sturridge in January.
Now, The Telegraph report that West Ham are indeed keeping a close eye on Sturridge’s situation at Anfield ahead of a possible move for the England international, but his wages could be a problem.

Sturridge’s wages are believed to be somewhere between £120,000-a-week (The Mirror) and £150,000-a-week (The Telegraph), and to consider a move to West Ham, he would allegedly demand to receive a wage increase.
It seems unlikely that West Ham would pay that much on top of a transfer fee for Sturridge, meaning that the striker may have to fight for his place at Liverpool or move on to a club who can match those wage demands.
