Aston Villa look set to sign another goalkeeper this month.

Aston Villa fans may not think that the club need yet another goalkeeper, but that may be exactly what they’re about to get.
Technically, two goalkeepers have arrived at Bodymoor Heath this week; Lovre Kalinic’s move from Gent was completed, whilst Jed Steer was recalled from his loan at Charlton Athletic.
Villa also have fourth other goalkeepers at the club; Andre Moreira, Mark Bunn, Matija Sarkic and the injured Orjan Nyland are all on the Villa books.
Remarkably though, Villa are now being linked with another goalkeeper, with Sportal in Bulgaria reporting that Dimitar Sheytanov is set for a move to Villa Park.
Sheytanov, 19, has left Levski Sofia in his native Bulgaria, and became a free agent on January 1st, meaning he can move on this month.
Sportal report that Villa have liked Sheytanov for some time and are now ready to sign him, adding yet another goalkeeper to Dean Smith’s ranks.

One for the future, Sheytanov has featured for Bulgaria Under-17’s in the past, and will now look to fulfil his potential at Villa Park over the coming years if a deal does go through.
Sheytanov spent time on trial with Leeds over the summer, posting footage on Twitter of himself playing for the Whites’ under-23’s against Ossett Town.
The report notes that Leeds refused to pay the money Levski Sofia wanted at the time, so he didn’t join Marcelo Bielsa’s side – and now appears to be Villa-bound instead.
