According to Foot Mercato, Dijon are pursuing a deal to sign Leeds United attacker Jay-Roy Grot this summer.
It’s claimed that Dijon have been pursuing Mustapha Bundu and Stiven Plaza, but they joined Anderlecht and Trabzonspor respectively instead.
Dijon are now moving to other targets having lost Stephy Mavididi, and Grot is one player they’re considering a bid for this summer.
Grot, 22, spent last season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem back in his native Netherlands, and he notched two goals as well as one assist in 22 games.
Six goals in 33 games on loan at VVV-Venlo in the 2018-19 season saw Grot impress, and Dijon have seemingly been tracking his progress.
Grot joined Leeds from NEC Nijmegen in 2017, but hasn’t played a single game for the club since Marcelo Bielsa’s appointment as Leeds boss.

Now Leeds have been promoted, it seems even less likely that Grot will manage to force his way in to the Leeds setup.
The 6ft 4in attacker may now need to leave Leeds permanently after a couple of loan spells, and Dijon could offer an escape route.
