According to 90Min, the agents of Diego Simeone have indicated an interest in a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Having lost 3-0 to Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday night, Spurs have crashed out of the Europa League in embarrassing circumstances – leaving Jose Mourinho under huge pressure.
Brought in to win trophies, Mourinho could end the campaign without silverware, and Daniel Levy may now consider replacing him this summer.
A host of names have already been linked despite Mourinho still being in the job, and Simone is seemingly interested in making the move to North London.
It’s claimed that Simeone’s representatives have shown an interest in landing the Tottenham job, which would leave Spurs with a difficult decision to make.
The Argentinian has excelled in charge of Atletico Madrid, winning one La Liga title, two Europa Leagues and reaching two Champions League finals, often going toe-to-toe with clubs who have bigger budgets.

That’s something Levy would surely be interested in, though Simeone’s style of play wouldn’t be any more attractive than Mourinho’s, which is something to consider.
Simeone has been in charge of Atletico for almost 10 years now, managing more than 500 games in charge of the La Liga side, so few could blame him if he wanted a change.
Spurs could be able to offer that in an ambitious move, but it wouldn’t come cheap – and the fears over his style of play may not excite supporters who have been frustrated enough with Mourinho’s style.
