According to Sky Sports (17:01), AC Milan wide man Diego Laxalt is in London for a medical ahead of signing for Celtic.
It’s claimed that Laxalt has headed to the English capital today, with his medical taking place there before travelling up to Scotland.
One interesting quirk in the deal is that Celtic face AC Milan in the group stages of the Europa League this season – and it’s so far undecided on whether he can actually play in those games.
Talks are ongoing, and Laxalt looks set to join Celtic on loan with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season.
Laxalt, 27, cost Milan a whopping £16million just over two years ago, having impressed with Serie A rivals Genoa.
However, he has only managed 35 appearances for the club, spending time out on loan at Torino last season.

Capable of playing all the way down the left flank, Laxalt seems to be a perfect fit as the left-wing back in Neil Lennon’s 3-5-2.
Laxalt has pace to be a real threat, and experience at the highest level having played for Uruguay at the 2018 World Cup, so this looks like a major coup for Celtic if they can get it over the line.
