Diafra Sakho was close to leaving West Ham United during the summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham United are set to bring Diafra Sakho back into their first-team.
Sakho appeared to have burned his bridges at West Ham, after becoming frustrated at not being handed a new contract.
The French striker felt that he deserved a pay rise for the Hammers, but no new contract was forthcoming.
Sakho was reportedly keen on leaving West Ham last summer, but a move to West Bromwich Albion did not go through, and the 26-year-old is now apparently a lot more contented at the London Stadium.
With West Ham struggling for goals, Slaven Bilic realises that he would only be harming the team by not picking Sakho.
And the Mirror claims that Sakho will now be brought back into West Ham’s side, as he looks to make his first appearance of the new campaign.
Sakho has missed much of the season so far with injury, but upon his return he is expected to come straight back into Bilic’s first-team plans.
Sakho has scored 15 goals in 44 matches for West Ham, during his time with the London club to date.
