The West Ham United striker has been linked with a string of Premier League clubs this month, including Newcastle United, Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace.
West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho is ‘pushing for a move to Newcastle United, Swansea City or West Bromwich Albion’ after a deal to take him to Crystal Palace reached an impasse, according to the Daily Mail [live blog entry 13:10].
The report claims Sakho is the only player that West Ham boss David Moyes has a ‘desire to let leave’ without lining up a replacement first.
The Senegal international has failed to start a single game for the Hammers since Moyes’ appointment more than two months ago.
And with Newcastle, Swansea, West Brom and Palace among those looking to add to their forward lines this winter, Sakho would perhaps be more greatly appreciated elsewhere.
The 28-year-old is keen to find out, it seems, although it remains to be seen whether or not Newcastle, Swansea or West Brom can capitalise on Crystal Palace’s alleged failure to get a deal over the line.
Sakho has scored 24 goals in 71 games for West Ham since his move from Metz three-and-a-half years ago.
