According to The Scottish Sun, Brighton and Hove Albion now hope to win the race for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.
It’s claimed that that the Seagulls are now battling Leicester City and Arsenal for the striker’s signature.
Arsenal’s interest is dependent on whether or not Alexandre Lacazette leaves this summer, and that delay could see the Gunners miss out.
Leicester have been favourites given that Edouard’s former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is in charge there, but Brighton are challenging them.
Graham Potter’s men seemingly hope that the lure of regular first-team football on the South Coast will help tip the balance in their favour.
Edouard will surely leave Celtic this summer, as he has just one year left on his current deal and has no intention of signing a new one.

The Frenchman will likely have his pick of a number of Premier League clubs after smashing 83 goals and 37 assists in 168 appearances for Celtic, including 22 goals this past season.
Would Brighton be top of that list? Probably not, but the Seagulls can offer first-team football and are a quality striker away from making a real impact in the Premier League – a role Edouard could fill.
