Aston Villa midfielder Mile Jedinak is reportedly on the radar of South West Sydney.

It has been reported that Jedinak, who can also operate as central defender, is interested in joining the Australian club should they get the licence to play in the A-League.
“South West Sydney want to hand Jedinak the arm band and also offer him a pathway into coaching when his playing days are over,” adds the report in The World Game. “They are also willing to cover the relocation costs of his family, should a deal be done.
“The expectation is that he would continue as an on-field talisman for at least two to three more seasons under the proposal put to him.”

Aston Villa exit likely?
Jedinak is out of contract at Villa next summer, and given that the Australian is now 34 years of age, it is hard to see the Villans offering him a new deal.
Moreover, Villa could well be in the Premier League next season, and the Villans are unlikely to keep hold of a player in his mid-30s then.
It would make sense for the Australian defensive midfielder to join South West Sydney and spend a couple of years playing before going into coaching, if indeed that is what he wants to do.
Jedinak joined Villa from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4 million and when Roberto Di Matteo was in charge of the Villans.
