The Italian press are convinced that Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic is headed for Inter this summer and details of the alleged deal have been released.
Nemanja Vidic has announced that he will be leaving Manchester United when his contract expires this summer and Inter are the favourites to sign him.
The Serbian defender has decided to move on from Old Trafford and Inter are said to have agreed a deal that will involve Vidic taking a sizeable pay cut.
While Inter’s Serie A rivals Juventus and French giants Monaco are reportedly hovering, it seems that Inter have beaten them to the punch.
The Italian channel reports that Vidic has already completed a top-secret Inter medical and will sign a two-year deal worth around £2.9m annually with bonuses included.
The club and the player’s representative will also allegedly agree a clause to address a possible third year.
Vidic has been at Manchester United for eight years and has pledged not to join another Premier League side as a mark of respect.
If Inter succeed in bringing Vidic to the club it would be a massive coup given the number of interested parties and the club’s seemingly inferior financial resources compared to some of their alleged competitors.
