According to Marca, Valencia still have a €26.4 million (£23.7 million) hole that needs filling before June 30.

There’s every chance that debt could be taken on by Andrea Radrizzani in the near future if his plan to purchase the Spanish club comes to fruition.

The La Liga giants’ financial woes have been well-documented, and their situation has been alleviated by a number of high-profile sales over the summer.

However, they are stil in dire straits financially, and they need to make up that gap before the summer, be that through further player sales or outside investment.

Luckily, that outside investment may be coming in the shape of Radrizzani who has been strongly linked with a takeover of the La Liga outfit.

Unfortunately for the Leeds owner, one of the first things he’ll have to do if he becomes Valencia chairman is to clear their outstanding debts.

However, that may prove to be a drop in the ocean if he can make his European empire dream a reality and use Valencia as a feeder club to Leeds.

Nobody needs reminding just how much money there is to be made as a successful Premier League club, and if the purchase of Valencia can help Leeds sustain their top-flight status for a number of years, he will make that money back very quickly.

Of course, this is all dependant on Radrizzani actually finalising this deal to purchase the La Liga club, but if he does end up becoming the Valencia owner he will have a big job on his hands when it comes to steadying the ship financially.
