Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has reportedly not dropped his contract demands as the Reds prepare for their biggest game of the season against Manchester City.

According to Goal, reports that the Egyptian winger is willing to drop some of his demands over a new contract are misleading and that Salah is sticking to what he wants if he is to pen a renew his deal with Liverpool.

The attacker has been one of the Reds’ best players this season and is expected to start for Liverpool this afternoon against City in what is being billed as the biggest game yet in the Premier League title race.

Just one point separates Liverpool and City ahead of this afternoon’s clash at the Etihad Stadium, though Salah’s form heading into this match has been patch in recent weeks.

The former AS Roma star has scored just once in his past seven games, with Salah also coming off as a substitute in the Premier League in every match since late February, with Luis Diaz thriving for Liverpool since his move in January.

Indeed, Jurgen Klopp will want Salah in top form for Liverpool today against this City, though this latest contract update should be a concern for the Merseyside club, with the winger once again inching closer to an exit.

Today’s match against City could well determine who wins the Premier League this season, and a result for Liverpool might also have an effect on how Salah’s contract talks play out.

After all, the Reds have been ambitious and elevated to new levels with Salah in their attack, and beating City today could push Liverpool to handing the winger the demands he wants to remain at Anfield, which will be huge for the club in the coming seasons.
