Wolverhampton Wanderers could miss out on Anderson Talisca, if reports from Italy are accurate.

These are exciting times for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Not only have Nuno Espirito Santo’s side just clinched promotion back to the Premier League, but Wolves are being linked with a host of big-name signings this summer.

Jack Wilshere is a name that crops up from time to time, whereas The Express reported on Monday that a £35 million deal for Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland could happen.

Whatever happens, it looks like being a very eventful summer for the West Midlands club, but one man who Wanderers could miss out on is Anderson Talisca.

Bayern Munich's Spanish defender Javi Martinez (L) and Besiktas' Brazilian midfielder Talisca vie for the ball during the UEFA Champions League round of sixteen first leg football match...

Wolves have been linked with the Besiktas attacker – on loan from Benfica – for close to two years now and it wouldn’t have been a major surprise had Nuno renewed an interest in the £18 million-rated star this summer – but that looks unlikely now.

According to Calciomercato, and the print edition of Corriere della Sera, Champions League semi-finalists Roma have agreed a deal with the Portuguese giants to sign the 24-year-old.

There will be plenty of more fish in the sea for Wolves, but missing out one they have tracked since 2016 might hurt.
