Aston Villa take on Derby County on Saturday afternoon.

The Birmingham Mail have delivered an injury update on Aston Villa duo Birkir Bjarnason and Yannick Bolasie ahead of Saturday afternoon’s clash against Frank Lampard’s Derby County.
Saturday’s match sees Lampard and John Terry meet for the first time in the dugout, after the latter joined Villa’s coaching staff as Smith’s assistant following the sacking of Steve Bruce.
Bjarnason, 30, has been an integral part of the Villa side after a difficult start to life in the Midlands since his move from FC Basel. He has scored two goals in nine league appearances this season.
But the Iceland international was taken off after 41 minutes of the loss to QPR, and was completely missing from the squad that beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 last time out.
The report claims Bjarnason will undergo an assessment before Saturday’s clash against Derby in order to obtain whether the versatile midfielder is fit enough, but he is said to be working hard in order to return for this weekend’s match.

Everton loanee Yannick Bolasie has been used from the bench nine times since joining the club on loan in the summer, but is yet to start for Villa with his fitness said to be a major concern.
But the DR Congo international is taking on more fitness training, as per the report, and could be available to start on Saturday.
