Bournemouth will be looking to hold out for a fee closer to £70 million for star striker Callum Wilson, who is West Ham’s number one target, according to reports.

The Dail Mail claim that the Hammers will make a bid for the high-flying Cherries striker if they are forced to sell their main player Marko Arnautovic, who is attracting interest from the Chinese Super League.

It is said that any deal involving Austria international Arnautovic leaving for China will be finding a strong replacement as they have Wilson firmly in their sights.

Added with that, Bleacher Report claims that the power figures inside Dean Court will attempt to hold out for a fee closer to £70 million if Chelsea make an offer for the England international.

In November, England manager Gareth Southgate gave Wilson his debut during a friendly encounter against the United States and the Coventry-born player rewarded him by finding the back of the net.

Over the course of the season, 26-year-old Wilson has been a key figure for Eddie Howe’s side in the final third as he has scored nine goals and provided six assists in 20 Premier League appearances.

During his career, Wilson has represented the likes of Coventry City and Tamworth in the lower leagues of English football as the powerful centre-forward looks set to continue his remarkable rise.

Last Friday, the Cherries announced on their official website that Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke had penned a long-term contract at the club following his move from Anfield

The former Chelsea players arrival is surely set to ignite stiff competition for first team places at the south coast club, who will be aiming for a top 10 finish in the Premier League.
