According to the Daily Star, Liverpool are still tracking Schalke’s Max Meyer as he features for Germany at the Under-21 European Championships in Poland.
The Reds made their first addition of the summer just days ago by luring Roma winger Mohamed Salah to Anfield, but Jurgen Klopp may yet want more new faces this summer.

Klopp was returned to Germany to sign the likes of Loris Karius and Joel Matip since becoming Reds boss, and he’s now being linked with a move for another Bundesliga star.
The Daily Star claim that, despite signing Egyptian international star Salah, Klopp remains interested in Schalke ace Max Meyer, with a move possibly in the Liverpool manager’s mind.
Schalke’s Max Meyer
Meyer, 21, has been on the books at Schalke since his 2009 move from MSV Duisburg, and he has notched 20 goals in 163 games for the Gelsenkirchen outfit, becoming one of the leading young talents in Germany.
However, with just a year left on his contract and coming off a poor season, Meyer could be sold by Schalke this summer – and Liverpool have been tracking his displays in the Under-21 European Championships this summer.

Meyer scored for Germany in their 2-0 win over the Czech Republic in their opening game of the tournament, and Liverpool are allegedly watching his progress as they weigh up a bid.
Primarily a No. 10, Meyer can also play out wide, giving Klopp a versatile creative option if he feels he still needs more in the final third, even after signing Salah just days ago.
