Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.

According to the Daily Mail, Fulham talent Ryan Sessegnon is still expected to sign for Tottenham Hotspur, despite rival interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Sessegnon, 17, has come up through the ranks with Fulham, emerging as one of the top young talents in English football having notched five goals and three assists in 26 Championship games.

The left back – who can also play further forward – has continued to impress this term, hitting another five goals and three assists in 24 outings this term.

Many expect Sessegnon to leave Fulham in 2018 for a big-money move elsewhere, and the Daily Mail report that even Real Madrid are tracking the teenager, despite landing Theo Hernandez from Atletico Madrid over the summer.

However, it’s added that Sessegnon is still expected to sign for Tottenham Hotspur, even with their Premier League rivals Manchester United also interested in his signature.

The report states that Sessegnon would prefer to remain in London, but Spurs may be forced to bid in January rather than wait until the summer, when they would ideally like to sign him.

With question marks over Danny Rose’s future with Spurs, Sessegnon makes sense as the ideal replacement, possessing similar pace and attacking ability to Rose, whilst also having the versatility to play as a full back or as a wing back.

It may take a major deal – worth at least £30million – to land Sessegnon, but if Spurs can fend off Manchester United and Real Madrid to sign him, then it will be seen as a major coup.
