Tottenham Hotspur may just be about to pull off arguably the biggest signing of the summer, with Gareth Bale on the verge of a move back, The Sun report.
Daniel Levy is said to be ‘desperate’ to get the deal over the line, after taking ‘frantic’ action to ensure that Tottenham did not miss out.
The Sun reported earlier in the day that Levy was concerned that Manchester United were ahead of Tottenham in the race for the Welshman.
However, after rapidly assembling a financial package for Bale, Levy went to work.
The Tottenham supremo appears to have now got his man, with Spurs closing in on a deal to bring Bale back to North London.

Levy feels that the signing would lift the mood around Spurs, and it is easy to see why.
Bale is a genuinely world class talent and his potential partnership with Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane would surely rank among the very best attacking forces in the Premier League.
Tottenham made a poor start to life on Sunday, but Bale’s potential arrival really does feel like a game-changer for Jose Mourinho’s side.
