Celtic duo Lewis Morgan and Jonny Hayes could be on the move this week.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is seen during the William Hill Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden Park on May 27, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

According to The Express, Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes wants to bring in Celtic duo Lewis Morgan and Jonny Hayes before Thursday’s deadline.

The Dons have been in fine form of late, winning seven of their last nine league games, and have already struck one new signing this month by landing Birmingham City forward Greg Stewart on loan.

Max Lowe has returned on loan from Derby County, and boss McInnes is now looking for two more arrivals before the transfer deadline in just a matter of days.

The Express report that Aberdeen want to sign Celtic duo Morgan and Hayes, with McInnes looking to re-sign the latter 18 months after selling him to the Bhoys.

It’s claimed that Aberdeen have already held talks with Morgan about a loan deal, and hope to have done enough to convince him into a move over clubs in England.

Morgan, 22, has struggled to feature for Celtic since joining up with the club in the summer, and a year since agreeing a move from St Mirren, he could head out to play first-team football at Pittodrie, much like Ryan Christie did for 18 months before becoming a Celtic star.

Hayes could also join the Dons, potentially returning to the club he spent five years with, where 29 goals in 206 games saw him earn a move to Celtic.

Injuries have played their part in the Irishman failing to really make an impact with Celtic, but he is fit now – and Hayes could return to Pittodrie as a replacement for Gary Mackay-Steven out wide.
