Rangers are reportedly set to make their move to bring Derek McInnes back to Ibrox.

According to the Daily Mail, Aberdeen are demanding an £800,000 fee from Rangers in order to speak to manager Derek McInnes – and want the money up front.
The Gers sacked manager Pedro Caixinha in October after a dismal seven-month stint in the Ibrox dugout, but they are remarkably still searching for his replacement.
Well over a month since Caixinha’s exit, caretaker boss Graeme Murty remains in charge, and he picked up two fine wins over the last week, beating Aberdeen 3-0 at home and 2-1 on the road.

The man he defeated in both of those games, Derek McInnes, has been the favourite for the Rangers job throughout the process, and it seems that the Gers are ready to mount their bid.
The Daily Mail report that Rangers are expected to approach McInnes this week, but Aberdeen ‘want to see the colour of the Gers’ money’ – and are ready to make a bizarre demand.
It’s claimed that Aberdeen want Rangers to pay £800,000 up front for McInnes in order to speak to him about the job, and if talks break down, the Dons will send the fee back to Ibrox.

McInnes, 46, has impressed as Aberdeen boss since his appointment in April 2013, boasting a win rate of almost 58% as well as three consecutive second-placed finishes behind Celtic.
A former Rangers midfielder, McInnes could now head back to Ibrox to finally replace Caixinha – though Aberdeen’s stance means the Gers will have to cough up the cash up front.
