Ipswich Town and Blackburn Rovers are joined by Hull City, Queens Park Rangers and Reading in being linked with the Derby County striker.

Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers and Hull City are among the clubs keen on Derby County’s Cameron Jerome, according to the Daily Mirror’s live blog [Tuesday 28th August, 18:40].

The newspaper claims Derby will listen to offers for Jerome, whose list of admirers also includes Queens Park Rangers and Reading.

Jerome only moved to Derby in January from Norwich – who share a bitter rivalry with Ipswich – but has fallen out of favour since the arrival of Frank Lampard as manager.

Having scored 80 goals in 192 starts at Championship level, it is easy to see why, even at 32, Jerome would interest the likes of Ipswich, Blackburn, QPR, Hull and Reading.

However, the recent arrivals of Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells at QPR and Sam Baldock and Mark McNulty at Reading may decrease the pair’s need for the Yorkshireman, while Blackburn are reportedly close to signing Ben Brereton.

In contrast, Ipswich have offloaded one more striker (three) than they have brought in, while Hull are yet to replace Abel Hernandez in Jerome’s position.

Would the Derby striker be a good signing for Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers, Hull City, Queens Park Rangers or Reading?
