Former Leeds United loanee Matthew Pennington, now on loan at Ipswich Town from Everton, is reportedly wanted by Derby County.

Pennington is on loan at Ipswich Town at the moment, having joined the Tractor Boys from Premier League club Everton in the summer of 2018.
Sky Sports (Transfer Live blog, 16:18, Thursday, January 31, 2019) have reported that Derby have made an approach to sign the 24-year-old central defender.
It has been reported that Frank Lampard’s side are negotiating with both Everton and Ipswich over the transfer of Pennington – who has made 23 appearances in the Championship so far this season, according to WhoScored.

Leeds United fans’ reaction
Leeds United fans know Pennington well, with the 24-year-old central defender having had a loan spell at Elland Road during the 2017-18 campaign.
The former England Under-19 international failed to make a massive impact for Leeds, although it must be acknowledged that the defender had injury problems.
According to WhoScored, Pennington made 15 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Championship for the Whites last season.
Some Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Derby want Pennington.
