Kilmarnock are expected to sell Stephen O’Donnell with Premier League newcomers Sheffield United linked alongside Derby County, Boro and Stoke City.

Stephen O’Donnell could be on his way out of Kilmarnock this summer with the Daily Mail (26 June, page 81) reporting that he has caught the eye of four English clubs – Derby County, Sheffield United, Stoke City and Middlesbrough.
One of the best defenders north of the border is expected to be on his way out of Rugby Park this summer.
It is no secret that O’Donnell will be out of contract in 12 months’ time and Kilmarnock are expected to reluctantly cash in on a player who played a key role as Steve Clarke’s side finished third last season and qualified for Europe.
The Mail reports that the seven-time Scotland international has a range of suitors from south of the border with newly promoted Premier League outfit Sheffield United perhaps the most tempting destination.

Championship trio Derby, Stoke and Middlesbrough are also interested in the right-back, who played 43 games for Killie last season.
Celtic had also been linked with a player who spent two years in green and white between 2009 and 2011, honing his trade in The Hoops’ academy, but the Daily Record claims that the Premiership champions are yet to make a move, although they are aware of his impending availability.
