PSV Eindhoven’s Eredivisie misfit Bart Ramselaar is reportedly set to reunite with Phillip Cocu in the Championship with Derby County.

Derby County have opened talks with PSV Eindhoven midfielder Bart Ramselaar, according to the Daily Mail, with new manager Phillip Cocu keen to reunite with his fellow Dutchman at Pride Park.
New signings have been few and far between at The Rams this summer though the signs suggest that Ramselaar could be about to join a new-look Derby midfield alongside Kieran Dowell and Graeme Shinnie.
An industrious and crafty attacking midfielder who models his game on Real Madrid and Spain star Isco, Ramselaar joined PSV from Utrecht in 2016 and played a key role as Cocu led the Eindhoven outfit to the Eredivisie title a year later.
Cocu’s successor Mark Van Bommel is clearly not a fan of Ramselaar, however. The 23-year-old played just four league games in 2018/19 and was nowhere to be seen in PSV’s Champions League qualifying defeat to FC Basel on Tuesday night.
And, according to The Mail, Derby have now opened talks over a deal which would bring some much-needed creativity to Pride Park after the departures of Mason Mount and Harry Wilson.

“Cocu trusted me a lot and helped me to improve. (He is) a very important name in my career,” Ramselaar told Fotomac last year when Cocu left PSV for Fenerbahce.
And a reunion with the Barcelona legend could be exactly what the forgotten figure of Dutch football needs after 12 months in the wilderness.
