The reported Derby County target has created six goals in 13 games for Dunfermline this season.
Derby scouts are said to have been present as Williamson set up two of his side’s goals in a 3-0 win against Brechin City on Saturday.

And it is claimed they will continue to watch the recent Scotland Under-21 call-up over the next few weeks, as they weigh up whether or not to make an approach.
Williamson’s contract expires in June, meaning he could be available for a knock-down price when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Derby are not currently short of right-backs after bringing in Andre Wisdom from Liverpool, although they could lose Chris Baird at the end of his deal next summer.

And Williamson, who can also play on the right of midfield, could be a smart addition with the future in mind.
The Rams already have five Scots on their books – Craig Forsyth, Johnny Russell, Ikechi Anya, Chris Martin and Craig Bryson (currently on loan to Cardiff City).
Should Derby make a move for the Dunfermline talent in January?
