Derby County are interested in signing Tyler Roberts from Leeds United in the summer transfer window, according to The Times.

It has been reported that Championship club Derby are monitoring Roberts following the signing of Rodrigo by Leeds, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion.

The Whites recently signed the Spain international – who can play as a striker or as a winger – from Valencia.

Leeds United spell

Roberts has been on the books of Leeds since January 2018 when he joined from West Bromwich Albion.

The youngster is a very versatile attacking player who can operate as a striker, winger or attacking midfielder.

The 21-year-old has had not the best of times at Elland Road due to injury problems and has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the starting lineup.

According to WhoScored, the youngster made 12 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds last season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process.

During the 2018-19 campaign, the Wales international – who has played seven times for his country – made 20 starts and eight substitute appearances in the league for the Whites, scoring three goals and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
