According to reports from the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have agreed a deal for Andre Wisdom with Championship club, Derby County, which could be worth up to £4.5 million.

The defender made his Liverpool debut in the Europa League tie against Young Boys in 2012, and went on to make 22 appearances for the Reds.

Wisdom spent the last four seasons out on loan, and the Echo claims he is all set to seal a permanent switch to Pride Park Stadium.

Derby County had a reported £1 million bid rejected (The Telegraph) last week, as Liverpool were holding out for an extra £1 million.

The report adds that Derby have been able to come to terms with Liverpool, and the deal is worth more than £2 million initially, with extra payments due when targets are reached. In total, it is worth up to £4.5 million.

The 24-year-old had no long-term future under Jurgen Klopp, and the club has decided to let him go. There was a considerable interest in him from clubs like Birmingham and Celtic.

The versatile defender, who can play in central defence as well as in the right back role, was a key target for Derby manager Gary Rowett.

Wisdom has previously enjoyed loan stint with Derby in 2013/14, when he made 34 appearances for them. Steve McClaren was in the dugout for Derby back then.
