According to The Mirror, Derby County have made a huge £7m offer for Sheffield Wednesday attacker Fernando Forestieri.
The Rams have been fairly quiet in their first transfer window under new manager Nigel Pearson, with no new signings arriving this summer – but they appear to be making a late pursuit for a top Championship forward.

The Mirror report that Derby want to sign Sheffield Wednesday forward Fernando Forestieri, and have made a huge offer of £7m to sign him.
Italian attacker Forestieri, 26, hit 17 goals in 66 games for Watford before moving on to Sheffield Wednesday last summer, and it didn’t take him long to become a firm fan favourite at Hillsborough.

With 15 goals last season, Forestieri produced some dazzling performances, and was a key reason why the Owls made it to the Championship play-off final last season, but disappointed many with his anonymous performance in the final against Hull City.
This season is only one game old, but Forestieri has already proven his quality with the winning goal against Aston Villa in Sunday’s 1-0 victory, and it seems that Rams boss Pearson is now hoping to lure Forestieri to the iPro Stadium this month,
