But it is claimed the Rams will have to pay at least £3 million to prise him away from Carrow Road.
Jerome scored 16 goals in 40 Championship outings last season, but has yet to get off the mark this league campaign.
Norwich have offloaded a number of high earning players this summer, and the 31-year-old could be next to depart as the transfer window enters its final 24 hours.

He has already been linked with moves to several second tier sides, including Derby’s rivals Nottingham Forest, in recent months.
Derby, who are said to want rid of defender Jason Shackell and midfielder Jacob Butterfield, have lost Darren Bent to injury in Jerome’s position.

The Rams do, however, have David Nugent, Chris Martin and Matej Vydra to call upon, should they fail to land the Norwich player.
