Matthew Pennington is back at Everton from his loan spell at Ipswich Town.

It has been reported that Derby tried to lure the former Leeds United loanee to the Pride Park Stadium in the January transfer window.
The report has also claimed that the Rams are expected to make another attempt at securing the services of the 24-year-old central defender in the summer of 2019.
Return to Ipswich Town
Pennington joined Ipswich Town on a season-long loan deal from Everton in the summer of 2018.
The 24-year-old central defender played well for the Tractor Boys, but he is back at the Toffees now.
As announced on Ipswich’s official Twitter page, the defender has returned to Everton after rupturing his ankle ligaments in training.

According to WhoScored, Pennington made 30 appearances in the Championship for the Tractor Boys this season, scoring one goal in the process.
While Derby are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship table this season, Ipswich are in danger of getting relegated to League One at the end of the campaign.
