Derby County and Bristol City and Hull City are all allegedly tracking the Colchester United ace.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Derby County, Bristol City and Hull City are all interested in signing Colchester’s impressive young attacking midfielder Sammie Szmodics.
The 23-year-old has been in fine form for Colchester this season, racking up 12 goals and seven assists in 41 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Szmodics is an attacking midfielder by trade, and is at his best when operating in the number 10 position.
Derby, Bristol and Hull are all keen on signing the Englishman, according to a report from the Daily Mail, having performed several scouting missions on the Colchester star already this season.
All three Championship clubs will surely be on the look out for a creative midfielder in the summer, and Szmodics could be just the ticket.
It is unclear how much the League Two side will demand for his services, but Derby, Bristol City and Hull should all have no problem at all in tempting them into selling.
