Derby County are expected to complete the signing of Dubem Eze after Chelsea told the youngster that he had no future at Stamford Bridge, as reported by All Nigeria Soccer.

Since Wayne Rooney took over from Philipp Cocu in the Pride Park dugout, Premier League prospects have been flocking to the East Midlands.

Teden Mengi and Bani Baningime signed on loan from Manchester United and Everton in January while the highly-rated Arsenal starlet Bayo Fipetu has agreed to join the Championship giants too.

And, if reports are to be believed, Eze will be the next to arrive.

Derby are closing in on a deal for the talented, box-to-box enforcer, who has been informed that he will not be handed a new scholarship deal Chelsea.

Eze is expected to sign professional terms with the Rams, following an impressive trial.

Interestingly, he is not the only young midfielder who could be on his way to Pride Park.

Gloucester Live reported earlier this week that Derby are also keeping tabs on Cheltenham Town teenager Felix Miles.

The League Two outfit handed Miles his professional debut earlier this season but he is now expected to continue his development elsewhere.
