According to TEAMtalk, Derby County, West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City are keen to sign Sheffield Wednesday striker Steven Fletcher this summer.
The 33-year-old is out of contract this summer and could depart Hillsborough.
The report claims the Owls want to tie Fletcher down to a new deal. However, they have so far struggled to come up agreeable terms for the former Sunderland man.
Fletcher has been a regular at Sheffield Wednesday since joining four years ago.
Prior to the Covid-19 suspension, the striker made 26 Championship appearances for Wednesday, posting 12 goals and two assists.
The current suspension has prompted plenty of questions over player contracts.
Derby striker Chris Martin’s deal also expires on June 30.
The popular Scotland international is one of the club’s top earners. At 31, Martin still has plenty to give but the club’s financial situation may prompt an exit.
Derby could see Fletcher as a potential cheaper alternative.
West Brom, meanwhile, could look at Fletcher as an ideal option for the Premier League. The Baggies sit in second place and are favourites for promotion.
Slaven Bilic’s side lost physicality upfront when Jay Rodriguez joined Burnley last summer.
Fletcher has top-flight experience and while he wouldn’t be expected to start many games for the Baggies, he could be a sound option off the bench next term.
