Everton lost 2-0 at home to Sheffield United on Saturday.

Everton summer signing Fabian Delph has told the Daily Mail that he ‘hates losing’ – and allegedly only left the dressing room at 6:30pm after the defeat to Sheffield United.
The Toffees were hosting United and looking to bounce back after a 3-1 defeat at Bournemouth, but fell flat once again in a disappointing showing.
A Yerry Mina own goal and a Lys Mousset strike handed the Blades all three points, and put Everton boss Silva under even more pressure.
It’s now three league defeats in four for Everton, who are struggling to click so far this season and look some way off challenging for the top six as things stand.
Everton need to get back to winning ways against Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup, with midfielder Delph reflecting on Saturday’s defeat.
Delph was allegedly the last man out of the Everton dressing room at 6:30pm on Saturday, staying behind to think about what a disappointing defeat he had just witnessed.
The report notes that Everton forward Richarlison had been the first man out of the dressing room at 5:16pm, just about 20 minutes after full time, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but just shows how players switch off from defeats at similar rates.

Delph noted that he hates losing and is a ‘nightmare’ in that regard, and having noted that he wants to take some pressure off Silva, he’s looking for a big response against Wednesday.
“The manager always ends up coming under a lot of pressure, but us players need to have a good look in the mirror and look at each other,” said Delph. “I hate losing. I have three little girls and cannot let them win anything. I’m a nightmare. But you get your frustration out, you speak about the game individually to people and collectively. Now we focus on Sheffield Wednesday. Everton meet them in the Carabao Cup.”
“We weren’t good enough, We planned well all week and it didn’t click. It is a big club with a lot of history and we expect more from ourselves. The fans always turn up and they have made their feelings clear,” he added.
