West Bromwich Albion, Derby County and Stoke City are among the second-tier sides linked with the Barnsley player.

The Barnsley centre-back, Liam Lindsay, is believed to be interesting several Championship clubs – including West Bromwich Albion, Derby County and Stoke City, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claims Barnsley have been offered just over £1 million for Lindsay, who is in the final year of his contract, by the Italian Serie B champions, Brescia.

And it adds the 23-year-old could exit Oakwell this summer if another club matches his valuation, which remains unknown.

Lindsay is returning to England’s second tier after Barnsley’s promotion, but a move to either West Brom, Derby or Stoke may appeal given the trio’s promotion aspirations.

Brentford are also listed as potential suitors, while Middlesbrough could enter the running if the Barnsley manager, Daniel Stendel, is lured to the Riverside, according to The Sun.

West Brom (Tosin Adarabioyo), Derby (Fikayo Tomori) and Stoke (Ashley Williams) have each lost centre-backs of their own since the end of last season.
