West Ham United are reportedly confident that Declan Rice will sign a new contract, and that should be considered a major boost to them.

Sky Sports claim that Rice is set to put pen to paper at the London Stadium, with West Ham confident of sorting out his future in the near future.

Rice has only a year left on his current contract, and West Ham seriously need to tie him down to a new deal.

The 19-year-old looks to have the world at his feet, and he is seriously valuable to West Ham.

By tying him down to a new deal, not only do West Ham secure the future of one of their top talents, but they also ensure that they can demand big money for him, if a larger club come knocking.

Rice’s performances in central midfielder of late are sure to have attracted attention.

But if the youngster does pen a new deal, then it should be celebrated by everyone at the London Stadium.
