Aston Villa’s new boss is said to be bringing Richard O’Kelly and Thomas Frank with him to Villa Park.

O’Kelly and Frank are currently still at Brentford, following the announcement of Smith’s move to Villa last night.
The Bees stated that O’Kelly’s future would be confirmed imminently, and it seems that he will move to Villa.
O’Kelly and Smith have been a partnership throughout their careers so far, but Villa have appointed John Terry as their number two, which complicates matters.

It could be that O’Kelly has to take on a new role at Villa, to stay part of Smith’s backroom staff.
Villa appointed Smith after a number of potential candidates appeared to turn them down.
Smith has impressed at Brentford and Walsall previously, and has grown up as a Villa fan.
His first game in the dugout will come in two weekends’ time, when his new side take on Swansea City.
