According to Marca, Sevilla are about to terminate Isco’s contract.

The Spanish midfielder only joined the La Liga outfit in the summer transfer window, but after a disastrous spell at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, he’s going to be leaving Seville.

Isco fell out with the club’s Sporting Director, Monchi, and his departure is expected to be announced in the coming hours.

This comes just days after the former Real Madrid man was, once again, linked with a move to Arsenal.

Arsenal and Isco are like a pair of star-crossed lovers, this rumour emerges every single year, but, as of yet, a move hasn’t come to fruition.

However, with the 30-year-old now on the market as a free agent, the player could well be headed to north London.

Although, it has to be said that such a move seems unlikely at this point.

Arsenal don’t really need reinforcements in the attacking midfield spot with Emile Smith Rowe set to return from injury before long, while Martin Odegaard is one of the first names on the teamsheet every single week.

Isco is, of course, a talented player, and to pick him up on a free would be a smart move for some clubs.

However, with Arsenal looking to build around a young core and cultivate a positive dressing room atmosphere, signing a 30-year-old midfielder who is set to be released from his current contract due to a falling out with an authority figure may not be the Gunners’ best course of action at this moment in time.

As the saying goes though, there is no smoke without fire, and these Isco rumours are circulating, so perhaps a transfer to Arsenal could finally be on the cards.

Keep an eye on this situation as Isco, once again, prepares to become a free agent.
