According to The Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have convinced Davinson Sanchez to leave Ajax for North London as the Premier League club prepare a £28 million bid.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with Tottenham in recent days.
The prospect of leaving Ajax – who have offered him a new contract – increased on Saturday when the Eredivisie left him out of their clash with Heracles.
And The Daily Mail has now reported that the Colombian is keen to join Spurs, with Mauricio Pochettino’s presence at the club being one of his motives.
The Sun reported this week that he is worth around £35 million but the Lilywhites, according to The Mail, are set to bid around £28 million for his services.
Pochettino has not signed any players this summer and Tottenham kick off their Premier League season with a trip to Newcastle United tomorrow.
