Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make a signing so far this summer.

According to a report on Telesport, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino convinced Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez to move to his side after a conversation earlier this summer.

Tottenham are negotiating a price for Sanchez, with the North London side’s officials due to meet with the Dutch club later today.

Sanchez has interest from a number of clubs, including Real Madrid and Chelsea, but he is said to want a move to Tottenham.

The 21-year-old defender decided he wanted to join Spurs, after meeting with Pochettino and being enthused by what the Argentine manager had to say.

If Sanchez did sign for Tottenham he would be an impressive addition for Pochettino’s side to make, but it seems that there is still work to be done if a transfer is to be completed.

SportNieuws claim that Ajax are adamant that Sanchez will not be sold this summer, as they are desperate to keep hold of the talented Colombian.
