Tottenham’s David Webb is also leaving the club, along with Paul Mitchell.

According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur have not only placed Paul Mitchell on gardening leave, but have also allowed David Webb to leave the club.
Spurs saw Mitchell leave Southampton to reunite with Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane in 2014, but he tendered his resignation last summer in a bid to force a move away.
Tottenham have been holding Mitchell to his notice period, which could have until the end of this year, but Mitchell has now been placed on gardening leave, and can join another club if he so wishes.
Mitchell isn’t the only departure though, as ESPN report that Spurs also parted ways with scout David Webb last week, who was serving as the club’s ‘Head of Elite Potential Identification’.
Webb left his post as Bournemouth’s head of recruitment in 2015 in order to take up a post with Tottenham, and he has essentially been working under Mitchell for almost two years.
However, Webb was seemingly let go last week, with both he and Mitchell now looking for work elsewhere as Spurs continue to overhaul their scouting department, given recent departure of scout Ian Broomfield and arrival of Steve Hitchen.

The double departure is particularly interesting given that The Sun reported in January that Nottingham Forest were targeting both Mitchell and Webb in a double raid, only for John Jay Moores’ takeover to fall through.
Forest appointed Frank McParland as their new Director of Football until the end of the season last week, meaning the club may still have a look at Mitchell as well as Webb this summer.
