According to L’Arena in Italy, West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan wants to lure Hellas Verona boss Ivan Juric to the club.

It’s claimed that the Hammers targeted Juric months ago, with Sullivan particularly attracted by his brand of football at Verona.

Sullivan seemingly feels that Juric meshes British and European football together. Sullivan is allegedly convinced that Juric is the right man for West Ham, and want him this summer.

Fiorentina and Torino are thought to be keen too, but West Ham’s repeated admiring glances point towards a potential move to England.

Juric, 44, had three ill-fated spells as Genoa boss having previously impressed with Crotone. Now with Verona, Juric has rebuilt his reputation.

The Croatian took charge at Verona last summer, and has them close to European qualification. He has also helped developed the likes of Amir Rrahmani, Marash Kumbulla, Koray Gunter and Sofyan Amrabat.

Verona may well lose Juric this summer, but would he really head to West Ham? They appointed David Moyes in December, handing him a deal until 2021.

It’s hard to see the Hammers parting ways with Moyes already, especially having done it once before in 2018. Yet these reports about Juric keep coming up, and with added detail about Sullivan’s admiration, there may well be real interest.
