According to The Sun on Sunday (2/5, p61), West Ham United are interested in signing Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall.
It’s claimed that David Moyes wants to bring in a new centre back this summer, and he is now looking to the Championship for reinforcements.
Forest ace Worrall is believed to be a target, and that’s no huge surprise given that Moyes is keen on shopping in the second tier.
Jarrod Bowen, Craig Dawson and Said Benrahma have all joined West Ham from Championship clubs under Moyes, and Worrall could be the next.
Burnley and Norwich City are both keen on Worrall too, and Moyes believes that Forest will sell for a reasonable fee at the end of the season.
Worrall, 24, has made 30 Championship appearances for Forest this season, notching one goal and one assist for Chris Hughton’s side, and was branded a ‘leader’ by Steven Gerrard during his loan spell at Rangers.

The 6ft 4in centre back has been with Forest for almost 10 years now, and after a bottom half finish with Forest this term, few could blame him for wanting a new challenge.
West Ham can offer that, and with doubts over the futures of Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop, Worrall could be viewed as an ideal addition to the West Ham back line.
