West Ham United striker Andy Carroll is attracting attention from one of their Premier League rivals.

The Mail reports that Chelsea are keen on Carroll as Antonio Conte strives to bolster his attacking options during the January transfer window, and they had initially been keen to bring the 29-year-old to Stamford Bridge on loan.

However, West Ham have no interest in a loan deal, according to the Mail, and would only be willing to sell the former Liverpool man for £30 million – though Chelsea would reportedly be prepared to pay £15-20 million.

With none of the Hammers’ strikers exactly capturing the imagination this season – though Marko Arnautovic can play there and has been revelation lately – it may not be a surprise if some fans were disappointed that a swap involving Batshuayi appears to be off the table.
Though he has not been particularly impressive at Chelsea, he appears to have the potential to prove that he can make an impact in the top flight, so he may have been worth the gamble for Moyes.
