West Ham United are worried that Manchester United will not let Jesse Lingard leave this summer, according to The Sun.
It has been reported that West Ham manager David Moyes is desperate for Lingard to return to the club on a permanent contract.
The report has added that ‘there are increasing concerns’ at the Hammers that the Red Devils will keep the England international in their squad.
The 28-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, spent the second half of this season on loan at the Hammers.
Lingard scored nine goals and gave four assists in 16 league games.
The performances of the Englishman were instrumental in the Hammers clinching a Europa League spot.
Lingard struggled for playing time at United in the first half of the season.

It would make sense for the 28-year-old to be back at West Ham.
After all, under Moyes at the London Stadium, the attacker flourished.
United could decide to keep Lingard as a squad player, but it might be better for them to simply cash in on the England international and then use the money to invest in other players.
