The Mail report Dave Adams has left his role as head of coaching at Everton, just seven days after being appointed.

Adams is the second figure to depart Everton’s academy in 48 hours, following academy director Peter Vint’s exit on Wednesday.

The Mail claim Vint sanctioned Adams’ appointment, but the reasons for Adams’ departure are not known.

Everton appointed Adams on March 23, SkySports reported leaving a similar position overseeing Swansea City’s academy.

The Toffees are on the lookout for a new academy director and a new head of coaching following the two surprise departures.

Vint joined Everton in December 2015, leaving this week to ‘pursue other projects’, despite hailing Adams’ appointment days earlier, The Telegraph reported.
