The Rangers defender has been a regular under Graeme Murty, but looks set to leave Ibrox for a second time.
Rangers defender Danny Wilson is to have a medical with Colorado Rapids on Friday as he nears a second Ibrox exit, according to the Scottish Sun.
The report claims Wilson, whose contract expires at the end of this season, has ‘jumped at the chance’ of a move to Major League Soccer, after failing to reach an agreement over a new deal in Glasgow.
The 26-year-old had started all 12 of Greame Murty’s league games in charge of Rangers prior to Wednesday’s 2-0 win against Aberdeen, for which he was left out entirely.
Should he complete his move to Colorado, it would be the second time Wilson has left Rangers – having initially joined Liverpool in 2010.
However, the five-cap Scotland international returned to Ibrox, via Heart of the Midlothian, after five years away.
His potential Stateside teammates include former English league players Tim Howard (ex Everton), Jack Price (Wolves) and Tommy Smith – another left-sided centre-back signed recently from Ipswich Town.
