Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose started in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s last match against Manchester United.

Rose appeared very likely to leave Spurs this summer, after seemingly falling out of favour with Mauricio Pochettino’s side last term.
Rose, who is on a £65,000-a-week contract, criticised Spurs publicly at the start of last season, and lost his place to Ben Davies during the campaign.
However, the full-back has caught the eye of Pochettino more recently, and now will be given a chance to revive his Spurs career.
When Rose is on song, he is arguably the finest left-back in the Premier League, but it has been a long time since he has shown his top form.

Rose was selected to start in Tottenham’s last match against Manchester United, which they won 3-0, in an indication of new found faith from Pochettino.
Both PSG and Marseille had been hoping to sign Rose before the end of the month, but it seems that the England international will now be kept around by Spurs, at least for another season.
